On 26th March, we held our latest business event which was well attended by our business supporters and our residential clients.

What a day we had! We held the event in Fig Cafe, in Lemon Street Market, and were catered with filled croissants and pastries to fuel our networking session.

We had a brilliant turnout, and it was great to catch up with businesses, including Boosters, Towergate and Brakes. We were so delighted to discuss future opportunities to work with our clients, corporate volunteering and fundraising going forward. Our clients were also able to learn of a horticultural opportunity which we look forward to getting involved with soon!

Following our networking session, we were so egg-cited to be joined by Emma Adams, chocolatier and owner of Cafe Cocoa in Truro. Our clients and businesses were able to join these expert-led sessions, in which Emma helped us all create some luxury (and delicious!) easter eggs. It was great fun for all, and provided a chance to network and get to know each other.

These events present meaningful opportunities for our clients to develop confidence around communicating and socialising with businesses and the wider community as well as trying out new skills, in this case with a chocolatey flair!

One of our clients shared that their favourite part was “meeting new people and learning new skills. It was a very nice atmosphere and very welcoming”

Thank you to Kim and the team at Fig Cafe, Emma Adams for the brilliant egg workshops and our community champion Simon Reid for great photos.

A final big thank you to all the businesses and clients who attended, and for all the future collaborative opportunities that we look forward to beginning.
