We all need to play our part in addressing the climate emergency. We recognise that the steps that we as individuals and organisations take are important. Whilst our primary role has to be supporting those who find themselves homeless, we cannot ignore our impact on the environment and wildlife around us.

St Petrocs has been supported with expert advice from the Tevi project and has adopted a new sustainability policy which can be found on our website. The policy is backed up with a management action plan that sets out measures to support our goal of working towards a net neutral position. We recognise that there is no quick fix and so we have adopted a continuous improvement approach to the management of our environmental impacts.

Catherine Pinney, Tevi Business Advisor, said: "Businesses and charities across Cornwall are taking steps in the challenge towards becoming greener, and the Tevi project has helped St Petrocs in this journey by funding the input of a specialist Business Advisor to assist them.

It has been great to work with St Petrocs, helping them towards a greener future through the development of their sustainability policy and environmental management plan. As one of our Tevi enterprises they are working hard towards supporting the Cornwall Environmental Growth Strategy and facing the future requirements of becoming a more sustainable Cornish enterprise."
