Every one of our houses is different, with a variety of locations, number of bedrooms and facilities to suit as many people as possible. Although houses are set up differently, in every house each resident has a single bedroom with shared communal facilities. Residents take responsibility for making food and maintaining a clean home.
Houses are managed by our accommodation officers who provide support and guidance in person and via a 24 hour on call system. Together, the accommodation officer and resident agree a pathway for their time in the house to prepare them for moving on. This could include things like learning how to cook, gaining budgeting skills or preparing for work by taking part in our Vocational Development Project.
Staff also encourage residents to pursue hobbies and interests and engage in the wider community and local events.
You need to contact our resource centres and be referred through our services or be referred to St Petrocs by another service provider or agency.
A Supported Accommodation Officer will conduct a housing assessment to find out more about you and see if you are suitable for our houses. They will explain the house rules and expectations of St Petrocs. If suitable, you will be added to the waiting list until a vacancy arises. St Petrocs also work with other agencies to find the right type of accommodation for each person so if you're not suitable for one of our houses we will do our best to refer you to somewhere that is.
