The support of our fundraisers makes it possible for us to provide the best quality service and support to the people who are experiencing homelessness in Cornwall. The range of fundraising activities our supporters undertake on our behalf varies from coffee mornings to yard sales, sponsored sporting events and large personal challenges.

In June 2021, one of our supporters Ben, embarked on an epic fundraising challenge to raise money and awareness for St Petrocs. Ben climbed the 10 highest mountains in the UK in just 10 days!

After undertaking, and successfully completing a personal walking challenge of 300KM in 30 days during the first COVID19 lockdown last year Ben decided to set himself another challenge.

Ben initially made plans to undertake a very famous mountaineering route in the French and Swiss Alps called the “Haute Route”. However, with the current COVID19 situation in Europe and the UK Governments’ ongoing travel restrictions Ben decided he felt it would be irresponsible and impractical to continue to plan for an overseas expedition. Therefore, Ben relocated the challenge to within the UK and climbed the 10 Highest Mountains in the UK from the 28th June, ending at Ben Nevis on the 7th July.

On Monday 28th Ben began at Stage 1 – Ben Lawers. Ben Lawers is the highest mountain in the southern part of the Scottish Highlands. It is the highest peak in Perthshire and is the tenth highest Mountain in the UK.

We are incredibly grateful for Ben’s support and the funds raised will enable us to continue to care for those experiencing homelessness in Cornwall.
